saunaMate AI Privacy Policy

saunaMate AI ("saunaMate AI", "we", "us", or "our") is made by Stack Applications. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Handle

Depending on the features you use, saunaMate AI handles:

• Account information: your email address, account identifier, and, when provided through Apple or Google sign-in, your name.
• Recovery profile: recovery goals, available facilities and equipment, weekly activity, preferred session time and intensity, and experience with heat and cold recovery.
• Safety screening responses: selections about circumstances that may make a conservative plan appropriate, such as cardiovascular or blood-pressure concerns, pregnancy, fainting, recent injury or surgery, relevant medication, age category, or advice to avoid particular activities.
• App activity: recovery plans, readiness check-ins, completed or skipped sessions, session feedback, active-session state, and app settings.
• Subscription information: Apple provides the app with purchase and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
• Notification preferences: whether you allow reminders and the schedule needed to provide them.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and adapt recovery plans based on your goals, schedule, facilities, experience, safety responses, and readiness.
• To guide recovery sessions, save progress, and show your history.
• To authenticate your account and provide password reset or email-verification features.
• To deliver reminders when you enable notifications.
• To provide and manage paid subscription features.
• To maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Local Storage and AI Features

Your recovery profile, safety-screening responses, plans, check-ins, session history, feedback, and settings are stored locally on your device. The current plan-generation feature runs on your device and does not send those recovery details to an external AI provider. If this changes in a future version, we will update this policy before the new processing begins.

4. Authentication and Service Providers

• Firebase Authentication: we use Google Firebase to support account creation and sign-in. Firebase processes identifiers such as your email address and authentication credentials or tokens for that purpose.
• Apple and Google sign-in: if you choose one of these methods, the provider processes the sign-in and shares the account details you authorise.
• Apple StoreKit: Apple processes purchases and provides subscription status to the app.
• Apple notification services: reminders are scheduled or delivered using Apple services when you grant permission.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with third-party advertisers.

5. Health and Safety Information

Safety-screening responses are used to make recovery guidance more conservative where appropriate. saunaMate AI is a general wellness product and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Its guidance is not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored recovery data remains on your device until you clear it in the app, delete your account where that option is provided, or remove the app, subject to your device backup settings. Authentication records are retained by Firebase as needed to operate your account. You may use the app’s account controls to request account deletion, or contact us for help.

7. Your Choices

• Choose which recovery and safety information to provide. Some answers may be needed to generate an appropriate plan.
• Allow or decline notifications and change notification permission in iOS Settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Access local app data through the app and delete your account using available account controls.

8. Children’s Privacy

saunaMate AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. People under 18 should use heat, cold, and exercise-based recovery only with appropriate adult and professional guidance.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Processing

Authentication providers may process account information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their own privacy terms and applicable safeguards.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as saunaMate AI changes. We will publish the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required.
